UWS forms Joint Venture with Rhino Rugby

RHINO RUGBY AND UNITED WORLD SPORTS FORM JOINT VENTURE TO OUTFIT THE AMERICAS WITH THE WORLD’S PREMIER RUGBY EQUIPMENT AND APPAREL

New York – Nov. 4, 2013 – United World Sports and Rhino Rugby have announced a joint venture to bring the fastest growing rugby brand to the Americas to meet the soaring demand for high quality rugby equipment and apparel in the world’s largest market.

Rhino Rugby is the leading manufacturer and supplier of training and contact equipment for rugby. It has been Official Supplier to the last two British & Irish Lions tours to South Africa in 2009 and Australia in 2013, to England Rugby for over 25 years and to the Welsh Rugby Union.  Rhino is also Official Ball supplier to the RaboDirect PRO12 competition for the leading sides in Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Italy, to the Hong Kong RFU and HSBC Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Sevens, and to USA Rugby.

Under the new joint venture, Rhino Sport & Leisure USA LLC, will lead the promotion and sale of the full range of Rhino products in the United States, including Rhino balls, performance wear and leisure wear. The latest Rhino product lines will first be introduced at the USA Sevens event in Las Vegas on January 24th through 26th to a crowd of over 70,000 attendees, a global television audience of over 387 million, and over 5,000 rugby participants competing at the Las Vegas Invitational. The annual tournament will be broadcast live for the fourth-consecutive year on NBC, NBC Sports and Universal Sports, and Rhino products, including its world-renowned technical training equipment, will be prominently featured in the global television broadcast. Upon launch, Rhino’s superior products will be available immediately to the over 4,000 club, college and youth teams in America.
